PACE is delivered over approximately 12 weeks. It requires two one and a half hour sessions per week with a trainer on site, and an additional 3 hours of home training between parent and student. The complete program includes screening, pre and post testing, custom structured training, and post-training follow-up. PACE is only available through licensed providers and trainers. Because of this, you need to live within driving distance of a provider to purchase the PACE program and services. There are several locations in Tucson. PACE fees are comparable to professional one-on-one tutoring rates. Master The Code builds on the enhanced cognitive skills produced by PACE training and introduces a revolutionary Sound-to-Code reading system to your student. The Sound-to-Code reading method employed in Master The Code models the actual and natural way spoken language is first learned. Each of us learned to recognize sounds and form them into words--only then did we begin to assign symbols (codes) to represent those sounds. Master The Code enables your student to rebuild their strategy for reading and spelling. They no longer have to depend on unreliable spelling rules or word construction guidelines that apply less than half the time. If your student needs reading help, Master the Code can be introduced into their PACE training at about week eight. The training then runs concurrently. Master The Code is available on a per session basis from most PACE providers.
