Welcome to Learning Skills Unlimited

Learning Skills Unlimited is a licensed provider of PACE and Master the Code, which trace their origin to the work of LearningRx, whose national headquarters is in Colorado Springs. Colorado. LearningRx traces it’s beginning to the work of Dr. Ken Gibson, a specialist in visual processing, and his brother Dr. Keith Gibson, a clinical psychologist. They committed themselves to discover a solution to help children consistently become better learners. They gathered clinical data and gained experience from their practices, preschools, learning centers and private schools they founded. In 1985 they hosted a symposium on learning in Appleton, Wisconsin. Gleanings from the many educators, doctors and professionals that participated in the symposium led directly to the development of a system that effectively uncovers underlying learning weaknesses and strengthens them through intense, one-on-one cognitive training.

The Gibson’s observed that some patients seemed to attend and stay on task better and recall facts more easily, and process information faster when they were given short but intense periods of training. In response, they developed a series of exercises (now a comprehensive, proven training system), which underwent 16 years of clinical application and review and several versions of enhancement. Other educational, psychological and medical specialists were involved in the development. Modifications were made as new research became available. The results are the products known as PACE and Master the Code.

During development, approximately 700 professionals in more than 350 training locations, clinics, schools and hospitals have used the training systems successfully. This resulted in documented skill and reading gains for over 24,000 students. Today’s PACE and Master the Code training is the most effective cognitive training available (as measured by a variety of nationally recognized cognitive skills testing instruments). Results are so predictable and consistent that the centers are actually able to guarantee improvement (in years gained, not months) in deficient learning skills in less than 18 weeks. No other training program makes such guarantees.

LearningRx is expanding its network of training centers to bring this effective cognitive training to those in need throughout the United States. Learning Skills Unlimited has been in Tucson for 6 years changing student’s lives. Struggling learners, as well as students who seek a competitive edge through enhanced cognitive skills, can benefit greatly from this cognitive training.

The Learning Skills Unlimited training programs gets beneath the symptoms of academic struggles and attacks the root problem – the limitations to the student’s ability to learn. The training enhances underlying cognitive skills required to learn effectively – auditory processing, attention skills, comprehension, visual processing, memory and problem solving. Once strengthened, these skills enhance the student’s capacity to learn. Positive side effects often include improvement in self-esteem, confidence, and lifetime potential for achievement.

  • Training Programs benefit students grades K-12, and adults who struggle with learning or reading, or specifically suffer from attention deficit disorder (ADD), (ADHD), learning disabilities, dyslexia and other reading disabilities.

  • Learning Skills Unlimited utilizes specific skills testing to identify weak skills, and then uses scientifically proven, intense, one-on-one cognitive drills to enhance weak comprehension, processing speed, memory, attention skills, auditory processing, visualization, logic and reasoning.
